Found this at Peeps place, I have no hard link(too lazy).
http://www.offshoregamblersdigest.c...360c97f44006fed I wonder how long it will be before the crappy places pick up on this, particularly since it means they can still classify the game as 'vegas rules BJ.' |

This is actually old news to those of us who live in Las Vegas.
Besides why would a local go to any strip casinos. The strip casinos are here to fleece the visitors so I don't have to pay state income tax. If you want an honest single deck game go downtown to Binion's horseshoe. Single deck that pays 3-2. They also have a 4 deck shoe game. The 6-5 blackjack is clearly stated on the placard on the single deck tables. Now Super Fun 21 is interesting. Even money on blackjacks, but the player can double down at any time and surrender at any time. |

I think I've heard that it has spread outside Vegas to Biloxi. What's amazing is that all the 6 to 5 tables were filled with idiots playing this abomination during my recent trip to Vegas. Sheep to the slaughter. Just for the record the HA on this game is 1.45% vs a normal single-deck game of, say, 0.18% making this game 8, that's 8, times worse. The fact they still have the right to name the game "Blackjack" is ridiculous. And wrong. It destroys the game that has been around for 40 years. The Nevada Gaming Board are just captive shills of the casinos. They claim to protect the game and it's players but we know better now. Unfortunately, one's only choice is to boycott the game but that doesn't seem too likely. If that worked, Continuous Shuffle Machines would be gone by now. |

I agree with your statement about the 6/5 Blackjack being a rip-off and that there are better games around. Not sure why you indicated 'Super Fun 21' which is another heavily weighted house game giving the casino around 0.9% off the top.:-( :-( :-( Best regards Geoff |

They weren't allowed to still name "Super Fun 21" "Blackjack" because the rules changed the game so much. And it is a more favorable game than the 6 to 5 BJ. Yet they can still call the 6 to 5 abomination "Blackjack". Go figure. Sometimes a rose by any other name is no longer a rose. |

Sorry, I should clarify. I would never play Super Fun 21 or 6/5 blackjack. But it is very interesting to see the dolts sitting at the table with a 2 and 3, hitting getting a 6, then being told by the dealer that they can double down, the player doubles and gets a 4, the dealer then tells the idiot player they can surrender half their bet. I laugh every time I see people playing this game. |
