"Powered by Futurebet software" - is that a good or a bad thing?
I can't find any info on that software. I have found a casno using this software but I have never heard of Futurebet before - should I stay away or... ? ..of cause I will post the name of the casino later - If they are OK - but I don't want a reputation of asking questions about crap casinos all the time (e.g. I brought up Wiseguycasino - dooh - sorry about that) Any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks Jan ------------------ ---------------- Jan www.Guide2Casino.com [This message has been edited by Guide2Casino.com (edited 07-31-2002).] |

It is the software that Black Rhino
uses. Black Rhino ripped off / cheated a bunch of people. Shaun Cameron, of FoxBetting, has posted here and on other forums. They use FutureBet software. He might be a good source to ask any questions you have. Personally, I didn't think all that much of it. Not a lot of games to choose from, graphics mediocre. Nothing special, IMO. |

Thanks for the info.
I am trying to contact Worldwide Support Systems (WSS). WorldWideSupport has the exclusive licence to distribute FutureBet software - so perhaps they can help me. Jan |

WWS, iChance, Futurebet are one and the same.
I would be cautious, they are the same as Global Interactive Gaming. Offi |

Futurebet is a fantastic software that we chose to use after much deliberation.
These companies are not the same. IChance makes the Futurebet software. WWS is the exclusive supplier. GI only subs through it's company. The may have some ties through former employees of GI, but they are not the same company. The casino games are great and they continue to add games. The Buffers (Let's get ready to rumble!)even went with Futurebet for their sportsbook. They are well known in sports. Global Interactive was one of the larger WG licensees. Some of their people wanted to do things the right way and get away from WG. Who would not want to have an already established company to help with new software? The software company was formed and GI currently sub licenses the software. Kudos to GI for making the move and getting away from WG. When others just complained, they followed through and are doing something about it. Some of the sites still use WG. But who wants to use outdated software from a company that has a bad rep and is in transition? The WWS guys are great. If you ever get a chance to talk with Duane at WWS, you will find a NO BULL attitude. He is a straight up guy and will only promise what he can deliver. Refreshing for this business! IMO, we need more companies like Futurebet. I think you can also sub through WWS now as well. The software has Progressive games and is offering a Fantasy Sportsbook soon. We are very happy with them so far. More players and operators will be taking notice of this software. The BR issue was not a software issue nor was it an issue related to any other site that uses the software. Some operators run sites differently than others. Some players play differently than others. Give the software a try. Decide for yourself if you like it. Play any casino for fun before depositing. If they do not offer this, ask them for a demo passcode. Enjoy your gaming experience. Wager smart and do your homework. Always make your own decisions! This is a great forum with some great topics. This business is finally cleaning up and it will take players, portals, forums, casinos and software working together to keep it clean. Stirling SEA of GOLD Support our affiliates! SEA of GOLD,
The payout schedule you offer for Jacks or Better is an out & out rip off. Full house - 7 (fair odds -9) Flush - 4 (fair odds -6) Straight - 3 (fair odds -4) Can you explain this please?? |

MRRACE,
Again, this is what makes the world go around. It is also what can help us all understand different views and opinions. On a positive note. What did you find positive about your gaming experience? Not sure exactly what needs to be explained about the odds. I do appreciate your opinion on the "fair odds" though. I have the same issue with some horseraces, video poker and slots at some places. I'll do my best to explain though. Each casino and each game varies it's pay out. These vary according to different games and wagers. What is "fair odds" as far as pay outs can vary from player to player as well as the amount wagered. I play at some land based casinos that IMO, do not pay well enough for me to play particular games. It is all about the homework and enjoyment factors for me. Many people will not play roullette, or other games, at land based casinos because of the odds. At the same time some people will only play roullette, or game of preference, no matter what the odds. We have choices of games and casinos and that is a bonus for the player. I like horses and I have my own way to pick horses and some of the odds offered are often different than what I would consider "fair odds" for certain horses. This does not keep me from the track. It can keep me from betting a certain horse in a race. We would all love to have 100-1 odds on every game or race. I will look around and check out other sites offering Jacks or Better. If it looks like we are way off base we will do our best to adjust accordingly. Can't ask for more than that. Thank you very much for your input and bringing this to my attention. We hope your gaming experience at SEA of GOLD was enjoyable. Stirling SEA of GOLD ------------------ http://www.SEAofGOLD.com |

SEAofGOLD,
I appreciate your attempt to explain your position on this, even tho I find your responses a bit "amusing". "Not sure exactly what needs to be explained about the odds" The odds you offer are not consistent with the accepted standard "full pay" odds for Jacks or Better video Poker. "I will look around and check out other sites offering Jacks or Better. If it looks like we are way off base we will do our best to adjust accordingly" Check ANY Microgaming casino. They ALL pay out the odds I posted as "fair". (full pay) With odds such as you offer, the game sucks up your money like a Hoover vacuum. "I like horses and I have my own way to pick horses and some of the odds offered are often different than what I would consider "fair odds" for certain horses." Absolutly agree. BUT... in horse racing you have a choice. If you feel the odds are too low on a horse you like, you can get an "overlay" on another horse in that race. With your VP payouts, you "get what we give you". No "choice" or other option. If you had a rule that "Ties lose" for the player in BlackJack, and posted it openly, you still would get "unknowledgable" people to play, but anyone that had any understanding of the game would NEVER play there. If you want to be "competitive" in this industry, you would be wise to offer games that would attract people, not alienate them. [This message has been edited by Mrracetrack (edited 08-01-2002).] |

Mrrace,
Again, I thank you for your valuable input. You have obviously dedicated much of your time to this research. I will look at the microgaming jacks or better pay outs that you mentioned. The topic of the software has been lost during your evaluation of odds. We value your extensive research and well intended opinions. Your constructive criticism of the Jacks or Better pay out is very much appreciated. Not one to beat a dead horse, I will evaluate your information and hope that it helps us enhance our players gaming experience and fantastic software. Mrrace, We know you have many choices in gaming operations and a variety of games you probably enjoy. We thank you for making your choice, SEA of GOLD and assisting us with your input.
