Question Goodfellas' deadline

Anyone know if Goodfellas lived up to their promise to have the checks out by June 1? I hate to get my hopes for no reason...

Just returned from a few days away on a business trip and I haven't yet had time to catch up fully on this message board but here's the latest press release information on Goodfellows.

Microgaming are canning them - presumably for persistently slow paying, because the press release records that MGS has been monitoring the situation.

Any players owed money after June 10 are advised to contact PWC. MGS is apparently again doing the right thing and has set up a Tropika-like arrangement by depositing funds into an independent trust account operated by PWC, which will process all claims.

You can find the release on the microgaming site.

Bye bye Goodfellows it appears.

Ooh Jet,much to read.I wondered where you were.

Do you reckon if i got an email from proccyber, not Goodfellas, saying money has been sent by cheque as of 3 days ago, that that covers it for me?

If it hasn't arrived by June 11 (which looks as if it is the date on which MGS will take over resposbility for payouts) then I would submit a claim, J.

There's an email address at PWC for you to do so in the press release (which I wasn't able to cut 'n paste from the MGS site due to copyright)

SOURCE: MICROGAMING

Microgaming announces that the licence for the operation of the casino owned by Big Global, which runs Goodfellows Casino, has been terminated with immediate effect. Microgaming is aware that for some time there have been player allegations that pay outs to players have not been made by Goodfellows casino.

In the interests of fairness, arrangements have been made for players that have still not had their claims paid by Big Global by the 10th of June 2002, to put their claims to PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. (Johannesburg) (PwC). PwC will receive player's complaints with a view to verifying the correctness thereof, and advising of any amounts that should be paid. This process is entirely under the control of PwC, and Microgaming will not be involved in any way. The funds to be used for such payouts are being placed by Microgaming in trust and will not be under the control or ownership of Microgaming. PwC will advise the trustees of any amounts that should be paid.

All players who believe that they have a valid claim should approach PwC from the 11th of June 2002 at the e-mail address given below. Players should note that a time limit has been placed on the lodgement of such claims, and all claims should be lodged by the 11th July 2002.

Claims must be addressed to: trustadmin@pwcgaming.co.za. These claims should clearly state the claimant's full name and login-id as registered at the casino involved.

Joeyl,
File the claim. This may have come as a surprise to Goodfellows and the checks may not clear again if they just discovered there will be no future. By the time you would find out, it will be too late. You can always just retract it if you do get it and it clears.
Unreal though.

This sure does say a lot about MG though. No fighting or bickering this time. They just stepped right up to the plate! Believe me, I have learned a lesson on this one too.

Does this seem like a very rapid decision by MG? Maybe this is a NEW attitude! Pay Up timely or your done...quick!

VegasUSAAlan - are you listening???

@The_CPA
It's not Big Global sending out checks - it's Proc Cyber. If they bounce it's because Proc Cyber stops payments.

There must be more to this than just getting players paid. I find the timing a bit strange. Proc Cyber has been sending out a LOT of "You've got cash" emails the last few days. They might as well have shut them down a month ago. Why pull the plug when they finally start paying??

TheCPA; I´m in the same situation, Proccyber sent me an e-mail saying the check was sent May 30. Don´t you think that Proccyber will see to it that these checks do indeed work?
