For the second straight 2008 golf major, Tiger Woods will be nowhere to be seen and other professional golfers couldn't be happier especially since Tiger is defending champion.
Here are some favorites to take the final golf major: Phil Mickelson (+1000 at bet365.com): One would think that with Tiger out of the picture, the door would be wide open for Lefty but during the last major, The British Open, Mickelson finished tied for 19th at +14. Padraig Harrington (+1800): The two-time, defending British Open champ is one of the favorites for the PGA Championship and rightly so. Sergio Garcia (+2000): In the same boat as Mickelson, Garcia was one of the favorites to win the British Open, but fell short finishing tied for 51st at +17. Vijay Singh (+2000): Although Singh missed the cut at the British Open, he warmed up for the PGA's by winning the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational last week; a sign of things to come? The PGA Championship begins tomorrow at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Township, Michigan. Last edited by WinnerOnline-Editorial : 06-08-2008 at 05:58 PM. |
