This matter spread over a few boards recently, eventually finding its way to Baileys - see Lucky Ace theft thread.
Players received signup bonuses at this Cassava/888-powered casino, and had bonuses and winnings confiscated. This was the form letter Lucky Aces circulated: Quote:
Even if the terms authorised this total robbery, I'm quite sure they would not hold up in a court of law as being anti-consumer and unfair. Certainly in this country, and quite possibly in Gibraltar. However, that doesn't really matter, because this is what they actually state: Quote:
There is no mention of winnings. Lucky Ace is in direct violation of their OWN stated terms. Unfortunately, our own dearly departed Max is of a slightly bizarre opinion: Quote:
No, that is not correct. They are doing no such thing. Theft of winnings was never agreed to. Only bonuses. There are absolute grounds for complaint. Since they come under Gibraltar jurisdiction... Quote:
...players should complain to that governmental body. Dispute procedure: http://www.gra.gi/sites/gambling/downloads/43/crp.pdf Dispute form: http://www.gra.gi/sites/gambling/downloads/43/crrf.pdf I have no idea why Max has taken this negative line against the players, and it's an extremely disappointing turn of events. Lucky Ace is operating in direct contravention of its own terms, the players are owed their winnings and the complaints are fully justified and valid. |
