Thumbs down Cipher- The Wizard of BJ

Subtitle: Pulling Back the Curtain

Fear and Trembling

Bruce Holway (aka Cipher) was a respectable man, a knowledgeable man in the game of blackjack. He was well known in the world of gambling and sports-betting. He boasts of winning the largest wager in the history of Harrah's casino on a college basketball game then doubling the win at the blackjack tables. Later, he started gambling on online casinos and made his name among the Internet gambling forums. He helped big winners get their money from reluctant online casinos and seemed to be sharp on the legalities of gambling, online and off. He has two of his own websites and has developed the Cipher software for playing online blackjack. He is.....The Wizard of BJ. ....

ONLY A >>SNIP<< WOULD PAY CIPHER MONEY, PERIOD.
I have no sympathy for the victim.

I have written on many occasions about this, the latest could be found in this thread, starting with post #12.
If Cipher the Lowlife was that successful why would he have to use anybody's money to gamble?

EDIT: sorry TomCat, I didn't know the one who wrote that was you. But again I see nothing wrong with what I said and you might agree with it anyway. As to whoever those advertised for and defended Cipher the Lowlife (actually there was only one here at WOL) namely, Damian "Bethug" Dunlap, I wonder what he has to say.

Well, once when I was about 6 or so, neighbors thought I was retarded because I was considered "deaf". I'm not easily offended and I don't have too much pride, but calling someone a 'retard' is a bit strong language in my book. In reality, anyone can be fooled....like thinking we actually have a choice in presidential elections.

There were less criticism of Cipher back in October 2005 when I discovered him. Any criticism I saw seemed to be "Cipher's a jerk" without much explaination of WHY they said that. I tend to dismiss posts criticising Cipher that didn't give the basis for it. Not to say that your recent postings (I couldn't get your link to work on my computer) were baseless, but the older ones on other forums didn't really convince me Cipher was shady.EDIT: I meant older posts made by other people, not necessarily you, Bonuslover.

Plain greed, I guess.

Well, Damian has been very helpful in this situation. In fact, he made my thread, "Scammer in our midst?" a sticky one, giving it priority. He has emailed Cipher himself on my behalf too. So he knows about it and even made his own angry postings on OPU while not naming Cipher until I posted the big expose on my experience.

They are as Human as you and me.That is not a good choice of words to use.
I think it's Funny you have more than one thread about this thing that someone is trying to make people buy a system that is worth nothing.
Again this is going in the Direction of the RANTS and RAVES area I think.

The thread starts with a link to a 4000 word post.

The gist of it is Tomcat is owed some money by Cipher and he is not paying?

Catman dont pay bonuslover no attention.
People want cipher side, he took catman money, jerk him around for months. Just like mark and slotchik, when you know u cool busted you cant say nothing. Catman even gave him a chance to make payments. Nothing, but he can pay to have his site redone, which the company that did it charge over 700 bucks.

I want to hear Cipher's point of view first before any public hangings please. Can we do that much on this one? Cipher is a punter as far as i'm concerned, not my auld enemy, ie the house.

This dispute willl as it stands, make a column of egaming news.

# The poster Cipher is a respected poster of the egaming community.
# One who I thought thought that online casino software was not as random as the software suppliers would have us believe. Something I cannot disprove, nor have I seen proven otherwise, hence I stay out of the system talk.

Well there are something you really should know better since grade one, like not to open the door to a stranger - I am sure your mother taught you those. Sending money to someone on the net is just damn stupid, period. And you sound like you are only making an executive decision that just turned out to be wrong.

I feel for people like you, and I have always done my job as a good citizen - I've always >>SNIP<< whenever he appeared. And you are saying my talks about him are 'baseless'? How about "logic" or "common sense". If Cipher was anything like he boasts to be he'd be making millions every day using his software, instead of relying on fools like you sending him $20,000.

Bethug made a forum for Cipher and he led you to Cipher. He do that either because Cipher paid him or because they know each other very well. Bethug is not really as innocent as you want to think he is.

BTW I fixed the link and here is the thread

"Have a good one"

Even if that is true, in any case the system is not rigged in favour of the player.

I will disprove that for you - have you seen Microgaming or Playtech show any signs of financial difficulties?
