Hi everyone,
I'm Dan and I'm new to this forum, just found it and was just looking for some advice of players who know and understand online roulette. Basically, I've been playing online roulette at Vegas Red for about 5 - 6 months, although I had previously played for free at a couple of online casinos. I found out about online gaming after reading a website which said I could win with the Maringle (I hope that's spelt right) system. Well, at first I did think it worked but then of course I realised pretty quickly it doesn't work because all online roulette wheels have upto 10 - 12 runs of the same colour, hence you lose big time if you're starting bet is £1/$1. I did however put £40 into Vegas Red early on when I thought this system worked and got a bonus which I had to pay off with wagering requirements, something I missed in the terms and conditions (yes, a very noob mistake lol) but the website advised to get the bonus. Anyway, I decided to reduce the risks by betting with a starting bet of 0.10p, hence I could go upto 12 runs of the same colour and increase my chances. I decided this after playing for months and found that I never had a run over 12 runs of the same colour. This of course is still a risk but I've currrently got £1500 after using this system. The drag is that it takes a long time, I play for about an hour and a half each day to get £30 basically, but, I haven't lost yet. I got bored using this system and tried the £1 starting bet and lost a couple of times, fortunately making it up with a high lucky bet after, something I won't do again. Basically, I just wanted some advise on what I could do instead of the method I'm using as it takes a long time for little money. I want to get to 2k and then switch to another game that allows me to pay off my wagering requirements but I haven't played any other games. I was thinking of doing something where I'm going to lose, but I'll have the funds to lose the 30 times £80 (the wagering requirements). With 2K I'll still be out by £800 but it means I need to win 10 times £80 to pay off my wagering and make enough profit to keep on playing my system on roulette (I need £400) playing with 0.10p a bet. I apologise for the complicated explanation, but any advise would be really apprecaited. Also any links would be good, but I need the games to be very simple and give me a better chance of winning. Thanks, Dan |

Hi angelfire, sorry, can't actually help with your question as I'm new to online gaming but I wondered about Vegas Red. Would you recommend?

Martingale strategy is probably the best to use when playing roulette, however to be honest roulette isn't beatable. With online roulette, there is typically a $500 maximum table bet, so you could put $10 on every colour except four, and then $5 on 3 other colors. This means you would win money (a little) on almost every spin, however there is still a 1/38 chance you could lose all of your bet. This is the best odds for winning on every spin, but a big gamble.
As far as using martingle, the table maximum kind of stops you from effectively using it, and because you are likely to get runs of over 10 of the same color (if betting colors), you will lose all of your money eventually. A better bet than playing colors would be to play four bets - pick two from the 1st 12, 2nd 12, 3rd twelve and then pick two of the 2 to 1 places. this gives you a 2/3 chance of winning a lot of money. If you play four chips, one on each place, you will win back two chips if you hit two of your bets. If you only hit one, then you only lose one chip. The downside is if you miss all your bets, then you lose 4 chips. If you place your 4 bets high enough, you'll have enough left over to place a smaller bet on the zero and double zero as well as between the 1 and 4 and 7 and 10 so that you can win money hitting those as well. Using this strategy, you will always hit some bet, and although your original 4 bets won't win as much money, you have the chance of still winning money (instead of losing it) if you hit the zeros or 1-4, 7-10. ____________ |

Careful with The Martingale as the bets ramp up quickly...this is a so called "Negative" Progression in that you increase your bets after a loss to try and claw back to a profit. the trouble is, that you can dig a deep hole doing this and you will either hit the table limits (which means you can´t cover losses) or you land a zero.
If you want to test out a system, I would start off with a Positive Progression system like the Reverse Labouchere. In these systems, your bets go up after a win, not a loss. You are basically trying to ride a winning streak and inflate your profits, but you need to be strict as to when you pull the rip cord and bail out to take the winnings. But it does mean you run less risk of betting your shirt on trying to cover any previous losses. Never pay for a roulette system by the way- if you have to pay up front for it, you can be pretty sure that it is a scam. There are a whole bunch of free systems on this site http://www.xxxxxxxxx/?Roulette_Systems Last edited by GrandMaster : 17-09-2009 at 02:48 PM. |
