The NFL's 2008 regular season begins, now as a matter of fact with the Washington Redskins and the New York Giants.
The line closed with the Giants as 4.5-point home faves. Here are some NFL MVP futures odds* for the upcoming season: QB Tom Brady, New England (+350) Brady didn't see any action during the preseason, due to a foot injury, but played in Sunday's regular season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs unfortunately. It won't be wise to wager on Brady now as he was lost for the season with a left knee injury. QB Peyton Manning, Indianapolis (+500) Like Brady, Manning saw minimal reps during training camp and late-August practices thinks to surgery on his left knee in mid-July. Will he regain his form? RB LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego (+600) It's time for the Chargers to make a run for the Super Bowl and if they are to do it, LT will need to lead the way. RB Adrian Peterson, Minnesota (+900) Will Peterson be able to build on a very strong rookie season? Will he remain healthy for the whole season? QB Tony Romo, Dallas (+900) Tony Romo is a talented quarterback, no doubt about it and the Cowboys are one of the favorites to be the NFC representative in this year's Super Bowl but will Delilah (Jessica Simpson) weaken Samson (Romo) for a second straight year? WR Randy Moss, New England (+1500) Randy Moss' fate really depends on the QB that throws to him, but even if he accomplishes a fraction of what he did last year, it will be a good season for the talented New England WR. Speculation is that former Vikes' QB, Daunte Culpepper, could join the team. Next to Brady, Culpepper is the other pivot that Moss has had success with. *odds courtesy of bet365 Last edited by WinnerOnline-Editorial : 08-09-2008 at 05:14 PM. |
