I got a free entry for doing nothing special, so it sounds like the casinos were in the end desperate to give away the seats at this much-hyped tournament. I thought that I would be able to play each day, but no, you only get one go, afterwards you have to pay €20 for rebuys and continues, and the 10 days just give you more chance to spend your own money.

I don't like such tournaments. If you don't spend your money on them, you start with much less chance. Of course it is good for casinos, but I never play these. Just tried them once or twice, but of course I never got into a good position in the rank list by the freespins.

I could never get into doing this re-buy in this tournament thing.
I would take that re-buy money and play a slot on my own.
Some people love that kinda stuff.

If you have a good score, then a continue may be worth it, but otherwise I would not spend my money on it.
