Ok......I can understand that you have a need for it at times, but don't you think that a month is a little ridiculous? On top of posts not showing up for who knows how long, we can't even pm someone to ask questions.
It is not a welcoming gesture nor does it encourage people to post in your forums. I feel sure some just give up out of frustration.

Running a member-friendly board really isn't WOL's strong point. Aside from anything else, it's currently offline as much as on my end.

I forgot to mention the offline thing in my bitch and gripe.....it's true.

If I can make a suggestion, if the powers that be are going to moderate, there should be a notice stating so and for how long. The way it is now.....well it's just a surprise and if you don't take the time to check out some of the older messages, you'd never know why your posts don't show up.

When I got 'involved' in the newsfeed situation at gia (sorry nuked thread) I started thinking, 'what is happening on WOL, and why do they keep the forum?'. I could be all wet, but i think that the occasional (woops lb is looking behind the curtain) hot thread, and the newsmanager's posts, along with GrandMaster's occasional contribution drive traffic to the Cryptologic Casinos on the main site. Fair enough, and good and well; they aren't rogues.

I'm sure there is more to it than that. And I'm sure that the moderation aspect is in keeping with a policy to drive business to, not away; but it seems counterproductive on the surface, doesn't it?

I hope you are not one of the ones who gives up in frustation. You have an important voice in the gambling world imo and this forum could use another voice :)

No, just that your posts will be moderated.

Moderation means that your new posts will not appear right away, but will have to wait for the moderator to read them and then he will manually post them if they are appropriate. This can be a few days sometimes, but hang in there, and Welcome!

I think that moderation is why I miss some posts. It seems that when they are posted they will go into the thread 'time relevant' meaning that if someone has posted in the same thread later, the moderated post will not show as 'new', but appear as if it were posted when posted by the OP.


That answers a question I had a while back I guess.
