View Thread : What type of portal do you prefer?
Steve Rod
Hi,
I'm actually a porn webmaster running a free movies site (moviesrama.com) and I'm also a gambler.
I also want to get into the gambling scene, and build a portal site (where I'll test the casinos I'll advertise, myself).
So, here is my questions:
1. What do you like in portals? Like it better when the webmaster describes the casino's site and when gamblers can give his opinions about a casino advertised on the portal...?
2. Do you like "loto-site" or you like better real online casinos?
3. Any advice I should take care of my creating an online portal? :)
Just give me your feedback...I just want to make this portal good for everyone and stop these non-paying casinos away from gamblers :)
Thanks in advance,
Steve Rod

Also, a list of your favorite gambling sites would be really appreciated... :)
Thanks,
Steve

I would never go to a site run by a porn webmaster. What a sleazy job.

In all fairness, "Steve Rod" was upfront & honest about what he does, and states the reason he's requesting the information he wants. He has provided his e-mail & info on his membership page, and is not shilling or directing to his website. I feel that he is entitled to a legitimate reply to his questions.
1) Avoid using casino's that have a large amount of complaints about them posted on multiple forums. You need to do a "search" and you will have no problem finding these.
There are about 10 specific casino's that any knowledgeable on line gambler knows to
"stay far away" from. They are usually the ones that have the highest paying affiliate programs. Your portal will lose ALL credibility if you choose to use banners for these "rogue" casino's.
2) Read posts from this site (and casinomeister.com is another good site) and see what people are saying about various casino's. There is a thread listed (Best & worst) here with about 43 replys to it. It speaks for itself as to the listed casino, and players thoughts on it. After reading this thread, you would realize that this is NOT one of the casino's you would want to advertise.
3) You should offer a "forum" so players can voice their opinions. And allow them to say what they want, good or bad.
4) And don't mix your "porno" site with your gambling site. Like oil & water, They don't mix. If I want info on a "porn" site, I'm not going to look for it on a "gambling" site.
5) Keep your site honest. You will get much more traffic if your site is not a "Shill" site for
the "Sleazoid" casino's that many portals offer. Do your homework properly, put in some background checks, and be an advocate for the PLAYER, not the casino.
Hope this is helpful to you. Good luck.

Hi there,
I think i'm in a good position to answer this question.
First of all avoid all casinos which have received negative feedback from players. While these casinos may pay more commission, they'll ruin your repution and integrity. Especially avoid any casinos operated by Iglobalmedia. This company is amazing when it comes to marketing, it's unfortunate they're not more honest. Some of the more prominent Iglobalmedia casinos include:
Planetluck, Zantana, Gold Key, Big Cat casino, Apolla Casino, star Luck casino.
I would also recommend you also stick with promoting casinos using reputable software such as Microgaming, Boss media, cryptologic, and etc.
Other than that, test out the software of every casino you promote. Or at least try out a sample from every software provider. Also remember that a players opinion might differ from your own, and respect that. Personally i dont like cryptologic casinos, i like the games, but hate the menu interface, meanwhile i'm a big Microgaming fan. Players might feel that cryptologic games have better multiplayer features. etc
That's about all the ranting i can do..
Sincerely,
Antoine, http://www.casinoranking.com

What do you mean?
That I'm a dick head because I run porn sites?
You should think twice before posting such things...Running a pornsite doesn't mean you watch porn every day...but my employees do.
For the other guys, thanks for your reply. And between, I won't mix up my sites together...I just wanted to present myself before asking something :)
And I'll also test every casino that I'll list in my portal...I think it's the way to go since I'll write a review for every casinos that I'll list :)
Thanks,
Steve
