I'm not sure if this possible with version 3.0.0 of the message board software, but know for certain that it is in the 3.0.7 release.

It is a system I have found useful on other message boards that have a broad community. Kind of gives you a good glance as to if someone is a quality poster, or someone that's full of nonsense.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have seen those systems get bogged down into nothing. Sometimes you get two groups of people who constantly give bad reputation to the other side, and good reputation to their friends, and none of it really has anything to do with what they are posting about.

Just thought I would toss it out there as a suggestion, in case it was something you hadn't considered before.

Yeah, I know, he registered his account back when I got banned, made a few posts on that topic, and then never again until now. You don't have to try to be covert here Jetset, you can say what you mean.

I kind of wish Carlos hadn't made this appearance. Not only because Lanidar and I had already resolved our issues before this post was made (which I am assuming is what caused this appearance?), but because he now has several people thinking he and I are the same person. I almost want to try to view that as funny, but it just isn't.

Some of you believe me when I say I am not, and to you, I say cheers, I know who my friends are. Others basically called me a liar, and to you, all I can say is that I am disappointed, but there's really nothing else I can do except bid you a good day and move on.

But I do ask you to think about this. I had absolutely no problems telling Lanidar exactly what I think, quite bluntly, as myself. Why on Earth would I then have to hide to try to zing him? If I'm going to zing someone, I'm want them to know it is me doing it.

My posting history demonstrates this well enough. I have never once made any attempt to hide my identity online, whether I'm aggreeing with someone or telling them off, and if you haven't learned that about me by now, then you must not pay much attention anyway, at least not enough to bother typing to. So for the few of you who would rather believe your assumptions, I wish you well - dont post to me and I wont post to you and we'll all be happy.

Yes, that post irked me enough to make a post again. To see someone post the actual entire name in the (gossip) headlines deserves an F, no matter how you look at it. Obviously it does not bother anybody else or maybe not until there name is there.

I'm happy to hear that you resolved this issue with Lanidar. Maybe the next time, before I post again, I will check and get your permission first. Yeah right!! :rolleyes:

It was just a coincidence that it was your name, I would have done the same if it was Freddie Fuddpuckers name, especially since I recall some simple minds here that quickly assume I must be someone else or have an agenda of some sort.

But at the same time, I am not the one who makes a one line veiled statement instead of saying what I mean. I am always upfront with what is on my mind. Seems to me that if anyone should be accused of hiding under an alter id, it should be those of you who are afraid to say what is on your mind.

Although, I don't see how it is that you completely missed the biggest news story of the week. Singapore fills world wide headlines by lifting the 40 year casino ban, and not even the slightest mention of it? Maybe because they have no online affiliations. Why not also cover the latest with the Betfair-AU debate? A portal like eCORGA gets top billing, but you don't even mention the largest news of the week?

I'm not offended by the shears Max. If I have posted something that you think has crossed the line, feel free to clip away. I am not going to hold it against you.

Personally, I do not care what Jetset believes. I just wish he had the gumption to make the same accusations in public that he does in private. At least then I would be able to say I could respect the post because he said what was on his mind.

But then, I also try to show him via IP how it is impossible for us to be the same, and that's not enough. It's guilty until proven innocent with that one, so I'm done discussing anything with him. That's why I asked about activating the ignore feature, so that I don't have to see him and he doesn't have to see me.

Anyway, I only meant to suggest a feature here. That part was answered long ago, so feel free to take down the entire discussion if you wish. I, for one, will not be returning to it.

Yeah, I know. It makes about as much sense as when people were suggesting that me and Sting were really the same person. It was an insane thought then, and it is an insane thought now. Anyone who says otherwise apparently does not take the time to check into things, and prefer to operate on assumption rather than fact.
