View Thread : Playtech casino's- anyone else?

colly
I don't know if its my computer (I doubt it) but does anyone else found opening a playtech casino "hijacks" their computer, downloads without asking ( at least I assume by the MB being sent and recieved on my capacity meter thats what its doing). It takes 5- 10 minutes for a popup menu of games to appear and about the same to actually load a chosen game i,e if you can get to download a game in the first place without disconnection from the server ( 10 attempts and I have finally got 1 game downloaded on acropolis)-and there is no way you can shut the damn thing down without having to use commands or disconnect.

THis is not dodgy casino's either- we are talking sunny group, stanley and vegas red- all the same.

It is the software?

I am getting so fed up I am close to deleting them all frrom my computer.

What I noticed in the past about playtech, and I am not sure if it still applies because I avoid playing them, is that if you ever unistall the software and then for some reason you go back to download it in the future, that it takes all of two seconds for the software to download and re-install in your computer, even if you use dial up. Meaning that the software never got un-installled in the first place.

As I ve noticed Playtech casinos are saved in your Local Disk's :\window folder in an .exe file. Just check it out. That's why that it takes all of two seconds for the software to download and re-install in your computer, even if you use dial up

In that case they should correct the menu option from "unistall casino" to "remove shortcut from desktop". :thumbsdn:

It is not the casino, only the setup program.
