View Thread : Wssbcasino and Martingale

I have played the www.wssbcasino.com and have just cashed in $620 affter a deposit of $100 (wagering requirements was $3000). This time I played the Martingale systemet, betting $2, 4, 8, 16, 35, 70, 140. I had to bet $70 5-6 times, $140 2-3 times, and once I had to bet $246 (my balance). I followed the hand-book, but took some chances when I was betting $2 and $4.
This casino seems to be quite fair, I could not find any pattern indicating foul play. Using a software simulator I once programmed, I know that you could lose 7-8 plays in a row, but one should hang in, have enough cash, and be a bit lucky ...
If you happen to find a fair casino, the Martingale system could be a good one, on other casinos ... I would not use it.

I have to warn you that even with a 'fair casino' as you call it, the martingale system is a sure fire way to lose your money... As you said yourself, 7, 8 or even more losing hands are not uncommon (and sometimes you get it in your favour - I tonight had a staggering 10-in-a-row streak of winning hands at MG blackjack), and when you start to look at table limits you get yourself into hotwater... Take MG flash casinos:
Usually the min is $2 and the max is $200... So we go:
$2 - Lose
$4 - Lose
$8 - Lose
$16 (oh no... you cannot bet that amount... so it's $20) - Lose
$40 - Lose
$80 - Lose
$160 (Oh no... you cannot bet that Amount... so it's either $150 or $200)
$200 - Not enough to win back your losses... and if this is a loser...
Even with games where you can bet any amount (unlike MG flash where you have a limited choice of bet amounts), you'll still end up getting yourself in a pickle if that long run of losses comes along.
And even more, you have to have a huge bankroll... doubling up the bets requires a lot of money... and the crazy thing is you're sometimes betting huge amounts to make a tiny profit... take you - you ended up betting $246 to win back what you'd lost and to make a $2 profit..!!
If you want to use the system, feel free... but it will come back to bite you!
I personally tend to flat bet but if I'm feeling lucky will increase bets by quite a lot, especially if I have a lot of losing hands...... sure it's a pretty bad way to play (if you are after bonuses etc.) but for me it's fun and you get a nice buzz when that big win comes in.
One thing to remember is that all systems are doomed to failure in the long-run - the only real ways to keep close to ahead is to learn strategies with their basis in sound mathematical logic, and even then the casino will always have the house edge!
Casinos wouldn't exist if anyone could create systems that beat them in the long-run!!

I will not play any MicroGaming blackjack for the exact reasons you've stated. The wagering system that they employ is suicide for a player and laughable to say the least. Additionally, there are way too many "mystery cards" on strategic hands for my liking. In my opinion it's junk software, including VIPER. Have a good one.
