Is it possible to change the view to the U.S. date format?

I believe that in a forthcoming release of the message board software the date format will be a user option. I'd prefer to wait for that solution rather than make any format changes now.

As it happens the whole world is not American and thank god for it! Vive la différence, n'est pas?

As to the dates I for one can tell you that American date format drives _me_ nuts. That said we are looking for the date format to be user selectable in the future.

Hey! I resemble that remark! This is one American that will agree that the American date format doesn't make sense. Why would you go from the mid range of detail (month), to the fine detail (day), and then the least detail (year)? Makes no sense.

However, it is what I am used to so it makes it difficult to immediately understand the date when it is in the Day-Month-Year format.

I wonder how it got screwed up like that? It's not like dates were invented after America was founded. You would think we would use the same format. Not to mention the strange fact that we're still using the "Kings'" units of feet and inches.
