Hi Max.

Here's a suggestion- set it so that new accounts cannot post clickable urls. Spell this out in the T&C. New users must make at least a reasonable number of posts to show that they are legit, and then they can have clickable links. Plus, new users urls are mangled slightly:

instead of letting the user post a nice clickable link like
http://www.winneronline.com

they get

www . winneronline . com [SPAM PROTECT ENABLED]

makes it that much harder to make it easier for users to click onto the spammers site.

Great suggestions! We're going to be making some changes to the message board software in the coming weeks and i'll make a point of seeing if we can do as you've suggested.
