"Max,
Sorry, that I had to email this, but I tried posting it under suggestions. However, it would not accept it!
Anyway, I feel that non gambling posts should not be allowed on the forum. Yesterday, just about every forum had a post from someone that was promoting another "get rich" scam. Today, I find the exact post
under Sports Betting.
Is this a gambling forum or what?"

I think it's worth keeping in mind that as soon as we open our doors for people to post here we're also opening the door for spammers to slide in and do their thing. In two years of managing these boards we've found that all we can do is clean up behind them and toss their garbage in the bit bucket where it belongs.
Basically we're talking about people who don't have much respect for us, you or what we do here at WINNERonline. They're just talking the opportunity to force their rubbish in front ot us because they know they don't have to stand up and face the music (i.e. angry users who are sick of spam, spammers and spamming).
Unfortunately finding and removing spam is a time consuming job. Yet it IS necessary. So what do we do?
My most recent approach, thanks to Mary's efforts, has been to take a "you point it out and I'll check it out" approach. In other words take the URL of the spam message, mail it to me at boards@winneronline with a subject title of "SPAM Alert!" or somesuch and I'll take a look as soon as I get a chance.
So basically we're asking you, the reader, to help us make this online community work for you. By helping us do our job you get a better community in return.
As unsatisfactory as this may be in the short term it does seem to be working, more or less, in the long term. We _are_ slowly managing to get a handle on the seemingly unending supply of spammers and their annoying rubbish.
Hope that helps.
Regards,
Max Drayman
